Over the past 15 years, my company, Spindle Communications, has helped leading Southern African public companies, private companies and venture capital firms communicate with the regional investment market, local and international investors and the financial media.

Leveraging Market Experience
Every initial public offering or listed company's market valuation and business experience are unique; and in this experience is often your greatest ally in developing a successful strategies to meet the clients' needs. As a veteran of IR, media and corporate finance, I understand the market place and its cyclicality brought about by changes in the financial and technology worlds. It is this  experience that I put to work for clients, freeing them to run their businesses and manage their time as effectively as possible.

Advancing Investor & Business Relationships
Investor relations is about building condusive relationships with key investment professionals and reporters. My goal is to help clients develop, leverage and manage relationships with investment professionals such as analysts, portfolio managers, private equity funders, bankers, parastatals, venture capital companies and the media. While I could never claim to know everyone in the South African investment & financial industry, I have build up a network of valuable contacts who trusts me, and by knowing my clients, their industries and the financial markets, I am able to add value to  all of the client's target audiences.

Having specialised in the mining, health care, life science, cleantech, renewable energy sectors, being focused places me in a better position to anticipate and meet my clients' needs. This approach has resulted in extremely high client retention and multi-year client engagements.

Creativity Counts
Through many business cycles, I have experienced the challenges and seen the opportunities companies face. Innovative thinking is needed to attract the attention of role players. Financial and media programs have to be founded in strong messaging to produce effective investor relations programs for companies.
